Hi, my name is Skye, and I'm a writer

#1

Hi,
My name is Skye, and I’m passionate about writing. I live in Sebastopol, California. My contemplative practice is nonduality, stemming from Advaita. My current mentor is Rupert Spira. http://www.non-duality.rupertspira.com.

My memoir about raising my disabled son was published last month. I’m in the third draft of a novel. And I’m working on a daybook of reminders to be present, rooted in the nonduality teaching. I’ve been blogging reminders for the last five years, and have over 400 of them that I want to frame for a book.

In the early 2000s I went back to school and earned an MFA in Creative Writing, with dual concentrations of creative nonfiction and fiction.

Peace to you all,
Skye

Hi Skye,

Where can we read your nondual reminder blogs? “I” always appreciate these reminders :slightly_smiling:

Hello Dan,
My blog is http://www.theheartofthematter-dailyreminders.org

Thanks for asking!

Also, will there be residencies available in 2016 or 2017?

Thanks for the link Skye! I love the poem “Love Waits” there on your blog.

Hemera’s Tending Space Fellowships for Artists (what I think you’re referring to above) will be open for applications in spring or summer of this year. You can subscribe to our mailing list to receive updates when applications open. Be sure to check the box for artists.

Thanks. I don’t consider myself a poet, but sometimes poems come out. 99% of my writing is prose.
I believe I am subscribed to your mailing list. I hope I checked the box for artists! It was about six months ago.
